18th BFAME CHAMPIONSHIPS 2015 (2nd CIRCULAR LETTER)
It is now over a month since our last circular. While we are still awaiting confirmation of participation by all member NBOs, Bahjat Majali, Vice President WBF and Chief Organizer of the 18th BFAME Championships, has requested us to issue a circular to all NBOs of our zone asking them to send names and other particulars of all intending participants, with their accompanying spouses or others, to Jordan Bridge Federation, latest by 10th April 2015.
This will facilitate the Host JBF in obtaining clearance from their concerned Ministry and expedite issuance of visas by the respective Jordanian Embassies in member countries.

Please send the above statement to Raad Darwish at : firstname.lastname@example.org with a copy to me and Bahjat Majali accompanied by scanned copies of your passports and a photo in .jpg format. It is advisable to include a scanned copy of previous Jordanian Visa if you have visited Jordan before.
Please be reminded to confirm your NBOs participation in each championships event before 15th April’15, so that the Organizing Committee can finalize the format/program and issue the Supplementary Conditions of Contest.
Meanwhile, it is proposed to have three matches of 16 boards each per day including 4 segments of Semi Finals (16 x 4=64) and two segments of Finals (16 x 2=32). All matches to be played at uniform timings which shall be :
Morning, 10:30 to 12:50,
Afternoon, 02:30 to 04:50 and
Evening, 05:30 to 07:50.
Night, 08 :30 to 10 :50 (to be played on alternate days, only if there are 9 or 10 teams)
The duration of each 16 board match / segment shall be of 2 hours 20 minutes.
Presently, we are expecting about 7 to 8 teams in the Open, 5 to 6 each in Women’s and Seniors events.
In case of 7 to 8 teams : Double Round Robin involving 14 matches of 16 boards each followed by Semi Finals & Finals as explained above.
In case of 5 to 6 teams : Triple Round Robin involving 15 matches followed by Finals of 32 (16×2) boards as there shall be no Semi Finals.
In the unlikely case of only 3 to 4 teams : Quadruple Round Robin involving 12 matches played over 6 days, with two matches a day, followed by Finals of 32 (16×2) boards as again there shall be no Semi Finals.
However, in case of 9 or 10 teams, there shall be 4 and 3 matches on alternate days involving 18 matches followed by 64 boards (16×4) Semi Finals and 32 (16×2) boards Finals.
The venue, Bristol Amman Hotel is offering us of Superior rooms, single or double, @ US$ 130/- or JD 92/- net inclusive of all taxes and buffet breakfast. (1 US$ = 0.70880 JOD or 1 JOD = 1.41084 US$). There will be free internet / WI-FI.
The Entry Fee structure remains the same. For any one team in the Open, Women or Seniors events of the Championships the entry fee will be US$ 2,000/-. However, a package Entry Fee for two teams from the same NBO in respective events would be US$ 3,500/- whereas the package Entry Fee for teams in the three respective events would be US$ 5,000/-. To facilitate and encourage the participants to stay at the venue hotel, the BFAME, as in the past will allow discount in Entry Fee at US$ 300/- per team to teams occupying a minimum of two rooms at the venue hotel.
Finally, please make sure that your WBF and BFAME annual dues are paid up-to-date. The annual subscription of BFAME @ US$ 300/- per year needs to be paid in cash. Similarly, Entry Fees are also to be paid in cash so as to avoid bank collection delays and other complications.
